Eyes Lips Eyes

Eyes Lips Eyes Eyes Lips Eyes, formerly known as Elizabethan Report (ER), is a spirited indie/alternative rock band which formed in the county seat of Provo, Utah. They stuffed their bags and headed straight to the West Coast and introduced California to their aggressive new-wave musical style that combines elements of punk rock, avant-garde, pop and funk influences. The four-piece ensemble creates a diverse style that generates a chaotic yet controlled substance.

The band is influenced by All-American rock bands such as the Talking Heads, The Strokes and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Self proclaimed, disco-punk rock, their mixed fusion of rock and roll and deviant lyrics carried Eyes Lips Eyes to Los Angeles to spread their wings and make some noise.

Eyes Lips Eyes formed in the summer of 2007, and released an EP and one full-length album over a two-year span. Within that time, the band won first place in the Muse-Music Battle of the Bands, toured the West Coast and moved to an industrial loft in the heart of Chinatown that they call home.

They have performed at festivals such as the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, X96 Big Ass Show with Shiny Toy Guns and the Sego 3 Festival. The New American Music Union Festival was among their highlighted appearances and shared the stage with artists such as Bob Dylan, the Raconteurs and Spoon.

Currently, Eyes Lips Eyes is working on their version of a unique “No Album” concept. The idea behind this ongoing approach is to release two to three songs every month for the next 12 months. On the first week of every month, the band will release a single that will stream on the band’s website and be available on retailers such as Amazon and iTunes.
In the weeks that follow, the band will release additional content such as a music video, and b-sides, keeping their approach consistently fresh.

The band hopes to use the constant over exposure–similar to the affects of watching too many Saturday morning cartoons– to satisfy their restless personalities and pick up a few fans in the process.

Eyes Lips Eyes possess a kinetic energy that captivates music fans of all genres. Their energetic live sets take showgoers to a happy place of high fives and sweaty dance offs, while mixing in machine-gun claps and continuous trashcan bashing.

Their music embodies some of the best elements of the indie rock genre, yet scuffs it up like that fresh pair of Chucks.
